When I speak of sex…
[divider]
Installation, 1994
This installation consists of a zip of variable size plus seven light boxes projecting images related to sexuality.
The installation explores the relationship generated between our “natural way” and our “inherited way”, that is to say, between our very own being and the cultural and social being that we all are. In When I speak of sex…, form and content, image and language are all fused together.
Images and realities on which we build our ideas of ourselves, of others, of our society, of our beliefs, of our science… in short, our transitional identities. (Arts Depot Catalogue, 1995)
